There are a few members in the club who were students themselves at Bath a while ago and even though they are in full time work they still turn up to all the lessons to help out and demonstrate. Thats dedication! When their work schedules aren't too heavy they are also willing to give private lessons especially in the lead up to competitions. Take a look at their profiles below:

Jon Durant

Hi Jon here. I started ballroom dancing 10 years ago, when I was a fresher at Bath just like most of you. Within weeks I was hooked and now I'm still here teaching you all. Not really sure what my offical title is, but I guess it's something like Assistant Coach. I'd like to think that I'll still be here in another ten years, but maybe one of you will take over. If anyone wants any pension advice they know where to come!

James Whitehead & Joanna Kucia

James, a double graduate of the university, manages his own dance & dance development company with partner Joanna. Fully qualified teachers with the Imperial Society of Dance Teachers, James & Joanna are actively involved in invigorating community dance, and run the Bath Dance Festival, as well as working with the universities. When they're not in the UK, they're usually teaching and demonstrating on cruise ships in some corner of the globe.

This year they're hoping to build on the success of last year and give all the talented students the best possible opportunities with their dancing. Both James & Joanna claim the rewards of watching people learning and improving their dancing are far greater than anything else they've ever done: Viva La Dance!

Helen Charlesworth

Helen often helps out with the advanced, intermediate and novice lessons and occasionally the beginner lessons as well.
